Setting the OCR Mode
OCR modes control the way the text is captured and presented to you, and each mode
provides different results in Basic or Advanced mode. You can use only one mode at a
time. To select a mode, go to Settings > OCR Text Recognition > OCR Mode .
The text is read first horizontally, then vertically, in any mode.
Note: Table mode is not on the OCR Mode menu. It is available only by using the shortcut
provided in this section.
Full Page Picture Mode
In this mode, a photo of your target OCR scan is displayed and organized into zones. The
current word is highlighted as it is read. Magnification is available for the document
using the Zoom wheel.
Basic: Using the Basic console, the page is displayed as it appears in the guide frame
during OCR readback. Words are highlighted as they are read to show you the current
reading position. To return to the OCR guide frame, press the Capture button.
Basic Advanced
Advanced:
Using the Advanced console, a picture of the image in the guide frame is
displayed with zones to divide the target material. By default, boxes are used to indicate
zones, or blocks of text, which you can highlight and navigate. OCR readback will not
