NOTE:
- Do not clean or disinfect the glucometer while performing a test.
- If the glucometer is being operated by a second person, the
glucometer and lancing device should be decontaminated prior to
use by the second person.
- Do not allow cleaning or disinfecting solution to get in the test slot,
battery compartment, or strip-ejection button.
- If you do get moisture in the test strip slot, wipe it away with the
corner of a tissue.
- Always dry the glucometer thoroughly before using it.
- Do not spray the glucometer directly with cleaning solutions
especially those containing water (i.e. soapy water), as this could
cause the solution to enter the case and damage the electronic
components or circuitry.
5.3. GLUCOMETER DISPOSAL
Warning: Even after cleaning and disinfection, all MyGluco products
(glucometer, strips and lancets) can potentially transmit infectious
diseases. These products are also considered as dangerous for the
environment. We advise you to follow the usual precautions for
disposing of these devices. The battery in this used glucometer
should be removed and the glucometer should be disposed of in
accordance with local regulations.
6. HOW TO PREVENT A MALFUNCTION
- Avoid dropping and heavy impact.
- Do not put the unit in water.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the unit.
- The monitor might not meet its performance specifications or
may cause a safety hazard if stored or used outside the specified
temperature and humidity ranges in specifications.
