Air Cooling:

Air Cooling is another option for dissipating heat from the V22N65A SMT package. 

One 60X60X15 fan cooled heat sink is used to cool 2 power devices in this configuration. 

Although less efficient in dissipating heat, this setup is significantly less bulky and easier to work with, 

when easy access to the board and its’ components is required.

Air Cooling Installation instructions: 

1.

 

Insert springs into the M3 metal screws. 

2.

 

Insert the screws (with the springs around them) into the fan. 

3.

 

Mount the heatsink unto the screws.

Apply approx. 0.1[mm] of thermal interface material on the V22N65A devices.
