3.4. Using and maintaining the tool
▪ USE THE TOOL THAT IS SUITABLE FOR YOUR APPLICATION. A suitable tool will do a good job in complete
safety.
▪ DO NOT USE THE TOOL IF THE SWITCH CANNOT GO FROM ON TO OFF AND VICE VERSA. Any tool
which cannot be controlled by the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
▪ DISCONNECT THE PLUG FROM THE CURRENT SOURCE BEFORE ANY ADJUSTMENT OR ACCESSORY
CHANGE OR BEFORE PUTTING THE TOOL AWAY. These preventive safety measures reduce the risk of the
tool starting accidentally.
▪ KEEP THE TOOLS IN SAFE, DRY AND CLOSED LOCATIONS, OUT OF CHILDREN'S REACH. DO NOT
ALLOW PEOPLE WHO ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH THE TOOL OR THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO OPERATE IT.
The tools are dangerous in the hands of novice users.
▪ OBSERVE TOOL MAINTENANCE. CHECK THAT THERE IS NO INCORRECT ALIGNMENT, LOCKING OF
MOVING PARTS OR BROKEN PARTS BEFORE USE. Numerous accidents are due to poorly maintained tools.
Any damaged or defective protection, switches or other parts must be repaired or replaced by a qualified
technician.
▪ USE THE TOOL AND ACCESSORIES ACCORDING TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS, TAKING ACCOUNT OF
THE WORKING CONDITIONS AND THE WORK TO BE CARRIED OUT. Using the tool for operations other
than those specified may lead to dangerous situations. Always respect the machine's capacities, taking account
of the working conditions and the tasks to be performed. Using the machine other than for the planned usage is
dangerous and invalidates all warranties.
▪ TAKE ACCOUNT OF THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT. Do not expose electrical tools to rain or store them in
damp or wet locations.
▪ ONLY USE ACCESSORIES RECOMMENDED BY VIRAX FOR YOUR MODEL. Failure to respect this
instruction may present a danger for the user and invalidate the warranty.
▪ NEVER TRY TO ADJUST OR CHANGE THE ACCESSORIES WITHOUT DISCONNECTING THE TOOL.
3.5. Maintaining the tool
▪ MAINTAIN YOUR TOOL CAREFULLY. Keep your tools clean for correct operation.
▪ THE HANDLE MUST BE CLEAN AND FREE OF OIL. Keep the tools clean for safe handling.
▪ HAVE THE TOOL MAINTAINED BY AN APPROVED REPAIR COMPANY USING ORIGINAL SPARE PARTS.
Failure to respect this instruction may present a danger for the user and invalidate the warranty.
3.6. Specific safety instructions
The use of the VIRAFAL® system is restricted to specialized companies approved in the field of heating and
plumbing installations. Before installation, check that the system has not been damaged during transport.
Protect the unit from frost and keep it away from intense heat sources. The unit itself is approved for a max
water temperature of 30 degrees C / for a max ambient temperature of 40°C.
Always observe the flow direction indicated by the arrows on the unit.
Always treat drinking water with care and hygiene as it is a food grade product. This duty is entrusted with the
operator of the drinking water network or person authorized to handle it.
During the installation, apply local directives on drinking water, particularly directives from the gas and water
association in Germany DVGW, DIN 1988), SVGW in Switzerland, ÖVGW in Austria. The water injected must
first be cleaned with a fine pollution particle filter (DIN 1988, DIN 50930).
Before connecting them to drinking water systems, check the rinsing compressor and all accessories (such as
pipes, pressure regulators) are perfectly clean in terms of hygiene.
The units are installed as per the installation plan. If the pipe network is used as protection earth connection, the
units must be electrically short-circuited.
