The format word precedes the embedded data value and occupies 2
positions (Byte) in the DB:
Byte Bit 7 ... Bit 0
0 Bit 0: (A) Acknowledgement
0 – No acknowledgement
1 – Acknowledgement required
Bit 1: (AN) Acknowledgement message
0 - No acknowledgement
1 – Acknowledgement required
Bit 2: (EN) Alteration message
0 – No alteration
1 – Message altered
Bit 3: (P) Password protection
0 - Password protection deactivated
1 - Password protection activated
Bit 4: (E) Alteration enabled
0 - Alteration not allowed
1 – Alteration allowed
Bit 7 ... 5: 0
1 Bit 2 ... 0: (D) Position of the decimal sign
0 – No decimal sign
1 – one digit right of the decimal sign
2 to 7 – two to seven digits right of the decimal sign
Bit 3: 0
Bit 6 ... 4: (S) Data size / Format
0 – no data value
1 – word value signed
2 – double word value signed
3 – word value unsigned
4 – double word value unsigned
5 – Real number value
6 – Reserved
7 – Reserved
Bit 7: 0
stores your project at the preset location as STL-file and closes
TD-Wizard.
Import with following proceeding your STL file into your project:
•
Start the Siemens SIMATIC manager with your project.
•
Select the folder "Sources" in the user program and select Insert >
External Source .
•
Navigate to the STL file and compile this with Edit > Compile . The
corresponding DB may now be found in the folder "Blocks".
•
Transfer the DB to your CPU. More about the transfer methods may be
found in the manual of your CPU.
