With this integrated amplifier, Vincent is piloting
new approaches in the circuit design. In the long
tradition of hybrid amplifiers with Vincent, this
concept has been consistently developedand
brought to perfection in the SV-800. Unlike as
many other hybrid amplifiers, in which the tubes
areonly provided in the input section in order to
give the signal the typical character of the tube, in
principala tube amplifier was designed here, in
which the signal is conducted through the power
stages (tran-sistors) at the very end.
The correct design is the bottom line!The circuit
design follows stricty a balanced structure, each
channel is amplified separately. Therefor8 tubes
are used in the preamp section. This circuit confi-
guration is for a more accurate music repro-ducti-
on, a better auditory spaciousness and a better
resolution of the sound. Here, the character ofthe
tube is combined with the power of the transistor.
The power is thereby realized by Toshiba tran-
sistors. They work without negative feedback: a
Class A amplifier, whose circuit eliminate the
harshsound of the transistors.
Also the haptics of the amplifier shows: with this
unit the Premium Line received a worthy integrate-
damplifier, which will carry on the success of the
pre- and power amplifier of the Premium Line.
Theside-mounted cooling fins and the massive alu-
minium front panel show the power of this bolide
andgive an idea of the ease with which is plays
the music.
Typical for Vincent is the noble remote control,
also made of aluminium. In order to connect the
amplifierto various sources, it has five RCA and
one XLR input. A Rec-Out completes the features.
Then thereis also the possibility to switch between
Class A operation and Class A/B operation, now
a standardwith Vincent. Driven by 16 transistors,
buffered with 80.000uF capacitors, the SV-800
plays with easeand power, which in this price
class peerless. Treble, voices and smallest nuan-
ces are reproduced soclearly in the sound pattern,
that it is felt as a whole. And this with an incredi-
bly fine resolution, withoutever missing musicality.
This amplifier asks to be set a little bit louder. The
SV-800 demonstrates impressively the point of the
development, which Vincent has achieved andde-
monstrates the demand for the devices that
Vincent is producing.
