By-alarm connector/splitter, 4 LEDs for system control and manage-
ment, 1 LED for location in the dark - 1 module.
The connector is the device that turns the system on and off (completely or the
associated partitioned zones) after recognising the code emitted by the tran-
sponder keys. It can be installed in any room and the transponder key art. 01718,
which requires neither maintenance nor batteries, is a device the size of a key ring
equipped with a unique code that is different for each of them (1000 billion possible
combinations). The connector has four LEDs to indicate the type of operations
performed on the system (activation, deactivation, etc.) and a buzzer that emits
acoustic signals for these operations.
CHARACTERISTICS
• Power supply: 12 V ± 20%
• Absorption:
- 20 mA max with LEDs off
- 42 mA max with LEDs on
• Conductors: min. (2 x 0.50 mm
2
+ 2 x 0.22 mm
2
) shielded
• Operating temperature: -10..+40 °C
• Frequency range: 125 kHz
• RF transmission power: < 60 dBμA/m
• Device type A (EN 50131-3)
• Degree of safety: 2 (EN 50131-3)
• Ambient class: II (EN 50131-3)
• The connector is compatible with By-alarm control panels ver. 1.01 and later
(you can view the version of the control panel by using the keypad 01705)
OPERATION
The connector senses the approach of a transponder key and, after recognizing the
user, prepares for verifying the state of switch-on, for viewing the state of the test
circuit (green LED) and the state of system switch-on with one of the LEDs around
the green LED. A courtesy light also highlights the reading point in the dark to which
the key is to be moved near.
N.B
. The colour of the courtesy LED depends on the residential series installed:
- for the
Eikon series, amber
;
- for the
Arkè series, blue
;
- for the
Plana series, green
.
Connector paired with a single Area
With the system switched off the status LED:
• is on if all the zones of the area are balanced;
• is off if at least one zone is unbalanced.
The connector LED replicates the keypad status LED exactly.
With the system switched on the status LED:
• is on steady if all the zones are connected;
• blinks if some zones are disconnected (the system automatically detects the
presence of disconnected zones even in INT and PAR mode).
When bringing the TAG key near, once recognized, the ON-INT-PAR-OFF sequence
switches on in steps of about 2 seconds. In this phase, if there are any unbalanced
zones present (except for the timed ones) paired with the connection mode being
selected, the status LED is off. If instead all the instant zones paired with the
connection mode are balanced (except for the timed zones) the status LED is on.
While selecting the connection mode then, the green LED on indicates it is possible
to switch on this mode without an immediate alarm occurring.
Connector paired with multiple Areas
With the system switched off the status LED:
• is on if all the zones of all the areas paired with the connector are balanced;
• is off if at least one zone is unbalanced.
With the system switched on the status LED:
• is on steady if all the zones are connected;
• blinks if some zones are disconnected (the system automatically detects the
presence of disconnected zones even in INT and PAR mode).
When bringing the TAG key near, once recognized, the ON-OFF sequence switches
on in steps of about 2 seconds. In this phase, if there are any unbalanced zones
(except for the timed ones), the status LED is off; instead, if all the instant zones are
balanced (except for the timed zones) the status LED is on.
In this case, too, the green LED on indicates it is possible to switch on the selected
mode without an immediate alarm occurring.
CONNECTING THE CONNECTOR
The connectors must be connected, all in parallel with each other, to the RS485
bus line of the control panel respecting the indications on the terminals, namely
A
with A
and
B with B
(see the CONNECTIONS figure).
The power supply requires using conductors of at least 0.50 mm
2
and the shielding
must be connected to the negative terminal on the control panel side only.
Note: The terminal DE must not be connected.
THE PARAMETERS CONNECTORS
To access configuration mode, press and hold, for about 2 s, the
PROG
button and
then release it. Pressing
PROG
again in succession will change the operation of the
connector as described in the following table:
