INSTALLING THE DETECTOR
• Install the device at a height of 2 to 2.5 m.
• Do not install the detector in the vicinity of metal objects and devices that generate
radio frequencies such as televisions, computers, routers, hot spots, etc.
The installation procedure is as follows:
1. Configure the detector (see paragraph 9.2 of the radio interface installer manual
01729).
2. Acquire the detector on the radio interface 01729.
3. Secure the detector, provisionally, in the desired location.
4. Run a communication test to ensure proper communication between the detec-
tor and the radio interface 01729. If the test is successful, verified with the red
and green LEDs on the detector lighting up, secure it permanently or, on the
contrary, reposition it and perform a new test.
N.B.: Considering the powers involved and the interferences present in the field
it is possible that even the smallest movements of the device may significantly
improve or worsen the transmission quality.
It is also important to perform periodic maintenance on the devices to prevent
or detect any possible external interference.
INSTALLATION RULES
Installation should be carried out by qualified personnel in compliance with the
current regulations regarding the installation of electrical equipment in the country
where the products are installed.

Default configuration
The detector is supplied with a default configuration in which the supervision is
on for 20 min with average power transmission; this configuration satisfies almost
all installation requirements.
RANGE TESTS IN TEST MODE
1. Open the front panel on the detector, place Dip. 4 to ON and close the device.
From this moment on, the LEDs are always on and the detector is not inhibited.
2. Adjust the infrared range and the microwave range with special trimmers.
3. Having completed the tests, open the front panel on the detector, place Dip. 4
to OFF and close the device.
N.B.
Having completed point 3, the detector is still in TEST MODE for 3 more
minutes, after which the device enters low consumption mode.
•
View intrusion
Positioning Dip. 3 to ON, the detector switches on the red LED for a few seconds
whenever an intrusion is detected.
If this warning comes on, the detector consumption is affected and the effec-
tive battery duration decreases.
After each detection, the device remains off for 3 or 6 min depending on the
Dip. 2 setting.
RAEE - Informazione agli utilizzatori
If the crossed-out bin symbol appears on the equipment or packaging, this means the product
must not be included with other general waste at the end of its working life. The user must take
the worn product to a sorted waste center, or return it to the retailer when purchasing a new one.
Products for disposal can be consigned free of charge (without any new purchase obligation) to
retailers with a sales area of at least 400 m

, if they measure less than 25 cm. An efficient sorted
waste collection for the environmentally friendly disposal of the used device, or its subsequent
recycling, helps avoid the potential negative effects on the environment and people’s health, and
encourages the re-use and/or recycling of the construction materials.
