Type WWKS (with solar facility)

The Vitocal 160-A, type WWKS is designed for DHW heating with solar backup. The integral indirect solar coil enables the connection of flat-
plate collectors up to 6 m

2

 area or tube collectors with up to 3 m

2

 collector area. An electronic temperature differential control unit is integrated

into the Vitocal 160-A.

Circulating mode

DHW heating via the heat pump and reheating via the electronic
immersion heater as in

Depending upon the temperature differential between the DHW cylin-
der and the solar collector the electronic temperature differential con-
trol unit switches the solar circuit pump on or off. When the solar circuit
pump is switched on the heat pump will not provide DHW heating.
