3.7 Care and Maintenance

carriedoutbyservicepartnersauthorisedbyViega.

3.7.1 Cleaning the Press Tools

Damage caused by fluids

Makesurefluidsnevergetinsidethepressmachine.Neverimmerse

thepressmachineintofluids.

Press Machine

Requirements:

Thepressmachineisde-energised(batteryremoved).

■

Nopressjawisinserted.

Wipethepressmachinedownwithaslightlydampcloth.

▶

Dry-cleanthepressrollsoftherollerheadandthentreatwithmaintenanceoil.

Press Jaws and Press Rings

Removedirtandmetallicresiduesfromthepressjaworthepressring.

▶

Removeanydepositsfromthepresscontour.

▶

Treatthejointsandmovingcomponentswithmaintenanceoil.

▶

Thenthinlycoatthepressjaworpressringwithmaintenanceoil.Allowto

soakinbriefly,thenwipethepartdownwithalint-freecloth.

Performing Checks

Toensuretrouble-freeoperation,performchecksatregularintervals:

ringsfordamageorvisiblewear.
