3.7.2 Inspection and Maintenance

ThefunctionalsafetyandpermanentleaktightnessoftheViegapressconnector

systemsdependprimarilyonthefunctionalandoperationalsafetyoftheViega

systempresstools,whichcomprisetheViegapressmachineplusViegasystem

pressjaw,ring,chain,andhingedadapterjaw.

TheViegapresstoolsweredevelopedandadaptedspecificallyforusewiththe

Viegapressconnectorsystems.Viegadoesnotcheckwhetherthesesystem

presstoolscanbeusedforpressingothermanufacturers’systems.Inparticular,

nostatementcanbemadeinthiscaseonwhetheritispossibletocreate

permanentlyleak-proofconnections.

Donotattempttocarryoutrepairsyourself.Haverepairscarriedout

onlybyauthorizedservicepartners.
