Programming the SW42REM/SW82REM sequential switcher
The programming phase predispose the unit to optimal running and must be carried out only by qualified
technical staff.
Introduction
The programming of the SW42REM/SW82REM sequential switcher is performed by DCMT8, SWC4 or SWC8
keyboard and allows selecting the following functions :
•
choosing the menu language
•
programming with double configuration sequential switcher
•
programming of automatic switching time
•
selection of alarm contact type
•
selection of operating mode in case of alarm
To have access to the programming phase of the sequential switcher, there must be a video signal on input 1
and a monitor connected to the manual channel.
The programming with double configuration sequential switcher and DCMT8 keyboard is possible if in both
units the manual channel is connected to a monitor.
Enter the programming mode
Enter the programming mode by pressing the red key (for SWC4/SWC8, the ENTER key for DCMT8 keyboard) till
the led starts flashing.
Menu language
The menu patterns can be shown in 3 national languages (Italian, English and French). The first configuration screen
displayed allows the choosing of the required language.
•
Entering the menu the item CONTINUE is automatically selected
•
To go on with the language changing, press key 1 (previous item) till the item LANGUAGE is selected and blinking,
then choose the language required by keys 3 and 4
•
Press AUTO to confirm the required language; the following menu is displayed
Otherwise, to go to the following menu, press key 2 (following item) till the item CONTINUE blinks. Confirm by AUTO
key.
Programming with double configuration sequential switcher
In case of use of double configuration sequential switchers it is necessary to perform previously an adding setup
operation on the system SLAVE switcher (see section
“Sequential switcher in double configuration” in the chapter
“Connectors and connections”).
Connect to the switcher, which will be used as SLAVE,a camera to the input number 1 and a monitor to the output
MAN. Further, connect a DCMT8 keyboard to the switcher.
Enter the programming pressing the PROG key for some seconds till the leds start flashing; release the PROG key on
DCMT8 keyboard and enter to 0 second the time of switching of the camera number 1.
Then press again the PROG key till the displaying of another menu on the monitor.
Enter MASTER and change with SLAVE.
Quit the programming.
Connect the switchers (MASTER and SLAVE) and the keyboard accorging to the scheme on the relevant section.
Programming of automatic switching time
•
On the monitor of the manual channel a screen is displayed : for each video input, the display seconds are indicated
( time varying from 0 to 240 seconds).
•
Enter the time desired for each input using the digital keys:
•
Key 1: moves to previous input
•
Key 2: moves to next input
•
Key 3: decreases time for the input selected
•
Key 4: increases time for the input selected
•
Move to Selection of alarm contact type entering the item CONTINUE and confirm by the red key (for SWC4/SWC8,
the ENTER key for DCMT8 keyboard).
