Network Configuration Screen
Upgrading Software Version
The upgrade software procedure requires the VNSetup utility to install a new version. Follow the steps below.
1. Load the new IP camera software CD (provided) to the PC/workstation.
2. Installation script will start automatically. (If not, double click on the Setup.exe icon in the CD drive.)
3. Follow the instructions on screen. The VNSetup utility will start automatically.
4. Press the “Install new version” button.
5. A dialog box that enables the selection of the latest version will show up. See Figure below.
(Note: This is just a sample screen. The current information for particular unit will display.)
6. Select the new version and press the “Install” button. The IP camera will restart; it will be unavailable
for use for a few minutes.
7. After the new version is successfully installed, a confirmation message will display.

After the camera has been setup with the proper IP address, configuration features from a remote
workstation, server or recorder are available as follows.
•
A network settings screen is used to modify the camera’s IP parameters. This allows great flexibility
in network setup.
Note: This setup can be performed from any workstation connected to the IP dome and to the Nucleus.
1. Verify that the camera is connected to the network and that it is active.
2. From the workstation desktop, run the ViconNet application.
3. After logging in, open the site setup selection window.
4. Select the IP camera setup.
