Chapter 2 Setting up Your CT-X
All measurements taken will have an unknown amount of loss between the transmitters
(plant and CT-X) and the instrument, so all adjustments will be made to balance the two
signal sources relative to each other.

Note that any cable and equipment between the CT-X and your instrument will affect the
absolute level you measure for the CT-X. In this case, we are concerned primarily with the
relative level of the signal, so there will be an unknown offset that will need to be adjusted for.
To set the level, you can do one of the following:

Estimate the loss and factor into your calculated level at the instrument
OR
y
Transmit at a low level and measure the needed increase
