Indien het injectiepunt in de uitlaatbocht van de motor 15 cm ol minder
boven de waterlijn geplaatst is moet er een voorziening worden getrof
fen die voorkomt dat bij stilstand het water door koelwaterfilter. pomp
en warmtewisselaar in de uitlaat hevelt. Breng hiertoe de koelwaterlei
ding tussen warmtewisselaar en uitlaatinjectiebocht op een hoogte van
ca. 40 cm boven de waterlijn. Na het verwijderen van de afblinddoppen,
uit de zijwand van de geluidskast, kunnen deze leidingen door de dan
vrijgekomen gaten worden gevoerd. Monteer in het bovenste punt een
beluchter of een Tstuk meteen beluchtingleiding van ca. 6 mm diameter
naar buiten. Deze leiding moet op afschot naar buiten lopen. Tijdens het
draaien van de motor komt uit deze leiding een klein gedeelte van het bui
tenkoelwater; tijdens stilstand zal de toestromende lucht de hevelkolom
verbreken.
If the injection point at the exhaust bend of the engine is situated at a
height less than 15 cm (6”) above the waterline, precautions must be
taken to prevent outside water from entering through the water strainer,
pump and heat exchanger into the exhaust when the engine is not run
ning. This can be prevented by raising the water hose between the heat
exchanger and the exhaust injection bend, approx. 40 cm (16”) above the
waterline. After removing the blind plugs, out of the side wall of the sound
box, these hoses can be lead through the then released holes. Then fit an
airvent at the highest point, or an extra 6 mm diam. vent hose. This hose
must be mounted in a sloped position. When the engine is running a small
amount of water will escape, but as soon as the engine stops air will enter
the water hose and break the siphoning ability of the system thus prevent
ing the water from penetrating the exhaust.
