Vesticam2 Binocular IR Video Goggles
3.1 Clinical
3.1.1 Setting up and using Vesticam2 Binocular IR video goggles with OBS
The following section is for clinicians wanting to use Vesticam2 for binocular viewing and recording. With a
PC/Laptop/Mac that meets the minimum requirements, OBS Studio software and the Vesticam binocular equipment,
clinicians can preview & record both patient’s eyes at the same time.
The Binocular Vesticam equipment requires additional components (2
nd
Camera, Dual cable, Laptop) that can be added
to existing Vesticam monocular equipment. This means you can purchase and use different components to meet your
clinical testing needs.
This Vesticam designed setup (using OBS Studio software) provides vestibular clinicians with a feature rich solution
for binocular recording. Initial setup of OBS is explained in
the separate document “Appendix 2:
Vesticam Binocular
Reference Manual
”
. Installation is usually only required once, in the initial phase of setting up your computer, and
should be carried out without patients present.
OBS is freeware provided under a General Public Licence. More information about freeware General Public
Licence can be found here
https://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.html
Once suitable software is installed correctly, you can proceed with clinical use of Vesticam Binocular IR video
goggles.
