Level check

Proceed as follows:

- Rest the vehicle on its centre stand with the han-

dlebars perfectly horizontal;

- Check the level of liquid with the related warning

light «

A

».

A certain lowering of the level is caused by wear

on the pads.

Top-up

Proceed as follows:

- Remove the tank cap by loosening the two

screws, remove the gasket and top up using only

the liquid specified without exceeding the maxi-

mum level.

CAUTION

ONLY USE DOT 4-CLASSIFIED BRAKE FLUID.

CAUTION

AVOID CONTACT OF THE BRAKE FLUID WITH YOUR
EYES, SKIN, AND CLOTHING. IN CASE OF ACCIDENTAL
CONTACT, WASH WITH WATER.

CAUTION

BRAKING CIRCUIT FLUID IS HIGHLY CORROSIVE; MAKE
SURE THAT IT DOES NOT COME INTO CONTACT WITH
THE PAINTWORK

.

CAUTION

THE BRAKE FLUID IS HYGROSCOPIC, IN OTHER WORDS,
IT ABSORBS MOISTURE FROM THE SURROUNDING AIR.
IF THE CONTENT OF MOISTURE IN THE BRAKING FLUID
EXCEEDS A CERTAIN VALUE, BRAKING WILL BE INEF-
FICIENT.
NEVER USE BRAKE LIQUID IN OPEN OR PARTIALLY
USED CONTAINERS.
UNDER NORMAL CLIMATIC CONDITIONS, THE FLUID
MUST BE CHANGED EVERY 20,000 KM OR ANYWAY EV-
ERY TWO YEARS.

N.B.

SEE THE BRAKING SYSTEM CHAPTER WITH REGARD TO
THE CHANGING OF BRAKE FLUID AND THE BLEEDING
OF AIR FROM THE CIRCUITS.
