EMORY
A special one-touch “HOME” channel is available to allow quick recall of a favorite oper-
ating frequency. Memory storage is simple to accomplish:
Select the desired frequency, while operating in the VFO mode. Be sure to set up any
desired CTCSS or DCS tones, as well as any desired repeater offset. The power level
may also be set at this time, if you like.
Press and hold the [
F
] key for 1/2 second.
While the memory channel number is blinking, just press the [
HM
(
PRI
)] key. The
frequency and other data (if any) will now be stored in the special HOME channel
register.
To recall the HOME channel, press the [
HM
(
PRI
)] key momentarily while operating in
the VFO or MR mode.

EMORIES
You may wish to append an alpha-numeric “Tag” (label) to a memory or memories, to aid
in recollection of the channel’s use (such as a club name, etc.). This is easily accomplished
using the Set mode.
Recall the memory channel on which you wish to append a label.
Press the [
F
] key, then press the [
M/V
(
SET
)] key, to enter the Menu mode.
Rotate the
DIAL
to select Menu #1 (“
ALPHA
”).
Press the [
F
] key to enable changing of this Menu item.
Press the [
F
] key, then press the [
F
] key again, to begin entry of the label.
Rotate the
DIAL
to select the first digit of the desired label. When you have made your
selection, press the[
s
] key momentarily to move to the next character.
Repeat the previous step to program the remaining letters, numbers, or symbols of the
desired label. A total of seven characters may be used in the creation of a label.
When you have completed the creation of the label, press the [
F
] key, then press the
PTT
key to save the label and exit to normal operation.
To activate Alphanumeric Tags:
Press the [
F
] key, then press the [
M/V
(
SET
)] key, to enter the Set mode.
Rotate the
DIAL
to select Menu #1 (“
ALPHA
”).
Press the [
F
] key to enable changing of this Menu item.
Rotate the
DIAL
to set the “
ALPHA
”.
When you have made your selection, press the
PTT
key to save the new setting and exit
to normal operation.
