ONNECTOR

The 40-pin J10 I/O connector incorporates the hubbed USB3 and USB4 interfaces, 16 digital I/O
channels (17-32), and the 8254 timer I/O signals. Table 11 provides the pinout and shows the pin
orientation of connector.

The EBX-18 provides a 1.5 Gbits/s SATA port (J16). Power to the SATA drive is usually
provided by the ATX power supply. Note that the standard SATA drive power connector is
different from the typical 4-pin Molex connector used on IDE drives. Most current ATX power
supplies provide SATA connectors, and many SATA drives provide both types of power
connectors. If the power supply you are using does not provide SATA connectors, adapters are
available.
