2.4 Transport
2.4.1 Moving out of the way
The best way to move the wheelchair is to make use of the wheels and roll the wheelchair.
If this is not possible (e.g. when the rear wheels are taken off for transportation in a car), firmly
grasp the frame on the front and rear. Do not use the footrests or the wheels to grasp the
wheelchair.
2.4.2 Transport by vehicle, as luggage
Risk of injuries
Do NOT use your wheelchair
as seat in a vehicle, see the symbol.
Never use the same safety belt for passenger and wheelchair.
1. Fold the wheelchair to its most compact size according to the instructions in § 2.5.
2. Store the wheelchair and its wheels in the luggage compartment or behind the passenger seat.
If luggage and passenger compartments are NOT separated or enclosed, fasten the
wheelchair frame securely to the vehicle.
2.5 Assembling / Disassembling the wheelchair
Risk of injuries
Keep fingers away from moving parts of the wheelchair.
To fold the wheelchair:
1. Use the central brake to stop the wheelchair from moving,
see §3.1.
2. Pull the red lever under the front of the seat (1). The lever
can be reached through the opening in the leg rest
upholstery, or by folding up the leg rest upholstery.
3. Lift the front of the seat up and pull the seat as a whole
forward. You can now remove the seat from the frame.
4. Pull parts (2) upwards on both sides until the upper frame
is unlocked.
5. Push the push bar (3) to the front to fold the frame.
6. Let the frame rest on the rear wheels and frame tube. Now the
frame can be folded completely.
7. Turn the push bar downwards, see §3.2.9.
8. If necessary, take off accessories from the seat and fold the
