5.3. Accessing your host computer’s network settings

From the start button select Control Panel -> Network and Internet ->Network
Connections

Select the adapter that you plan to use and from the File menu, select properties.

This will bring up the properties window, shown on
the right.

Scroll down to the Internet Protocol Version 4
(IPv4) item, select it, and then select “properties”.

This will bring up the window to allow manual
configuration of the network adapter’s IP
addresses.
