Maintenance and cleaning
The appliance must always be unplugged from the socket
before it is cleaned or serviced!
Daily
Top up the appliance with fresh water.
Every 10-14 days

Pour out the any remaining water. Brush off any sediment in the lower housing and rinse out. Rinse
disk stacks with water. Refill the lower housing of the unit with water (tap water quality) as
described above. Recharge with Venta hygiene additive. Dosage: see the markings on the back of
the bottle.
This appliance has an automatic shut off! As soon as the upper housing is removed, the appliance
will turn off. All residues in the lower section and on the disk stack (white, greenish-yellow or brown-
ish deposits) does NOT impair operation of the Venta Airwasher. Adding Venta hygiene additive
guarantees perfect hygienic operation.
Every six months
We recommend a yearly general cleaning with the Venta Cleaner. This is specifically formulated for
use with the plastics used in constructing Venta appliances. Please only use chemicals approved
for use by Venta-Luftwäscher GmbH. Please follow the instructions on the bottle.

Switch the appliance off and unplug it from the mains socket. To open the upper housing, press
the locking catches (see arrows).

Open up the ridged sides first, next open up the end caps (with light pressure).

Remove the upper housing. Take the transport protection out of the upper housing. Take out the
disc stacks. Remove the transport protection from the lower housing. Take the sample pack from
the lower housing.
Putting into operation
• Place the airwasher on a dry and level surface at least 50 cm from the walls, furniture and any
other objects.
• Check that the mains power lead is not damaged in any way.

Replace the disc stacks. Fill the lower housing to the marking indicated (approx. 5 cm from the rim
of the housing). Add the entire contents of one sample bottle of Venta hygiene additve (50 ml).

Replace the upper housing. Plug the appliance into the mains and switch it on. Regulate the power
by using the +/- switch.
