Unpacking
Carefully remove the carton and plastic-wrap from the Venom BCMS and inspect it for any damage that may have
occurred in transit. If your unit is damaged, notify the delivery carrier immediately and retain the entire shipment
intact for inspection by the carrier.
DO NOT RETURN GOODS WITHOUT THE PRIOR AUTHORIZATION OF VENOM.
IF YOUR VENOM BCMS WAS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT, YOU MUST FILE A CLAIM DIRECTLY WITH THE FREIGHT CARRIER.
VENOM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING DAMAGES.
Do not discard the shipping carton or packing material for your Venom BCMS until you have checked all of the
components and installed and tested the unit. It is advisable to keep the shipping container and packaging
components in case shipping is required in the future.
Installation
Prior to installing your Venom BCMS make sure you have read and fully understand the enclosure, electrical and
venting requirements sections of this manual. DO NOT proceed with installation until the proper power is available
at the install location and you have also determined the proper venting as required by your particular
circumstances and jurisdictional regulations.
When planning your installation keep in mind that you will need room for the computer that will be used to control
your Venom BCMS. You can do this by installing a shelf in the enclosure to hold a desktop computer and monitor or
a simple slide out tray can be used to house a laptop computer. This machine will need a constant internet
connection to be most effective and you may also want to plan for this during your installation preparation.
Install the Venom BCMS system in the chosen enclosure taking care to ensure that all requirements outlined in the
enclosure requirements section of this manual are met. Please also take care to allow adequate clearance for
routing of the necessary cabling and ducting.
First secure the face of the Venom BCMS to the enclosure using the proper hardware for your specific enclosure
(not included with the Venom BCMS).
