General operation
An illustration of how the Adapt can be disassembled is shown below. Disassembling the mobil-
ity base for seating shells makes it easier to transport (without a user) and store. All the neces-
sary steps are described in the next section.
10.1
Disassembly and weight
The weight of each detachable unit is given below. This information is important when you are
installing, removing and/or carrying the mobility base for seating shells. The specified weights
vary according to the selected options and variants.
You can choose a removable back support so that the seating unit can be disassembled into the
seat and the entire back support can be disassembled too.

Figure 13: Disassembling the Adapt
Since the mobility base for seating shells weighs more than 10 kg after removing the wheels,
care must be taken when lifting the mobility base for seating shells without wheels. Figure 14
shows where the mobility base for seating shells should be lifted. In this case, the mobility base
for seating shells is assumed to be lifted from the left side (seen from the user's perspective).
1.
Place your hand on the underside of the front.
2.
Grasp the seat tube from the back with the other hand.
Always remember to keep your back straight when lifting such a weight.
