The charge is complete when all bars have been
fi lled on the right LCD on the instrument panel.
It is perfectly fi ne to unplug the scooter from
the outlet and interrupt the cycle. The scooter
will benefi t by any amount of charging you have
time for.
WARNING!
Do not charge in standing water.
WARNING!
If you use an extension cord be sure it is at least
a 10A cord and minimize the length.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
The Vectrix Scooter includes a 2.4 meter (8ft)
charging cord which is located in the trunk un-
der the passenger seat.
The male connector on the charging cord is spe-
cifi c to the country of use. For instance in Italy
the plug consists of a 4 conductor assembly. This
accommodates “hot”, “neutral”, “ground” and a
“pilot” pin. In this case the pilot pin is used by the
AC power source (charging station) to detect the
presence of the scooter which in turn enables the
stationary power outlet.
To charge the scooter open the trunk, remove
the cord, close the trunk taking care to route the
cord in the designation slot in the bodywork, and
plug the scooter into an appropriate 120v / 60Hz
220v / 50Hz outlet. Once plugged in the onboard
charger will automatically control the charging
process. During the charging process the battery
charge icon on the left LCD will be active. As the
charge progresses the battery level indicator on
the right LCD will increase in level.
