Pay TMC
In some countries or regions extended TMC information might be
available for an additional charge. These Pay TMC services are supported
by your navigation system and are activated via the C-IQ service
(www.C-IQ.net or 00800 99 33 33 33). You can see from the station list in
the Info menu whether a Pay TMC station is available in your current
region. Pay TMC stations are generally identified by a coin. If you have
activated a Pay TMC service and this station is temporarily unavailable, in
the case of the TMC receiver MT 5010 the system automatically switches
to an available free station until reception is restored.
In the map display
If traffic information is available, the system will show the positions of
accidents or stationary traffic on the map. If the obstruction is relevant, it
is displayed with a red border. Otherwise it has a grey or orange border,
and may show an arrow in the direction of the obstruction.
For small map scales, the traffic information is displayed in summary. For
larger scales, they are displayed in detail. Road obstructions of a certain
length are displayed on smaller scales along with an indication of their
direction and length. Traffic density (slow and queuing traffic, or
stationary traffic) and the length of the obstruction are displayed by
means of arrows.
