Let’s talk safety
Do’s
• Take extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Turn off all controls on the vacuum cleaner before
disconnecting or connecting the power cord.
• Always switch off the vacuum cleaner before
disconnecting or connecting hose and accessories.
• Unplug the appliance before performing any
maintenance or troubleshooting tasks.
• The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a hand-held accessory
with rotating parts. Do not get entrapped. The plug must be
removed from the socket-outlet before cleaning or maintaining
the appliance.
• Always keep the power cord away from the rotating brushes
whilst using your vacuum cleaner.
• Always make sure both the pre-motor/post-motor filters are in
place before use.
• Always protect the power cable from heated surfaces and open
flames.
• Always check the power cord for possible damage before using
the appliance.
• If you must use an extension cord, use only safetycertified, water-
protected single extension cords (no multi-socket distributors)
designed for the power consumption of the appliance, as non-
approved extension cords may overheat. Care should be taken to
arrange the extension cord as it could be a trip hazard.
• Store the vacuum cleaner in a cool, dry area.
• Clean filter and dirt container on a regular basis.
• If filters have been cleaned ensure they are thoroughly dry before
storing away.
