7 Fault •inding
The burner cannot be lit
Possible causes:
•
No fuel is in the burner module.
•
The fuel level is too low.
•
The burner’s safety system makes it hard to start.
•
The fuel being used is incorrect, or has been diluted by excess cleaning liquid or the like.
•
The regulator lid is not fully open.
Measures:
•
Add fuel.
•
Start the burner according to the instruc! on in
Sec! on 4.1.
•
Change the fuel. See
Sec! on 4.2.1 for recommenda! ons

•
Open the regulator lid un! l it stops. If the burner opening is s! ll not fully exposed, see the
assembly instruc! ons for correct placement. If this does not help, contact the place of purchase
for the nearest service technician
The burner starts but goes out again
Possible causes:
•
Low fuel level.
•
The regulator lid is not fully open.
•
The burner’s safety system makes it hard to start.
Measures:
•
Repeat the star! ng procedure.
•
Add fuel.
•
Start the burner according to the instruc! on in
Sec! on 4.1 point 4

•
Open the regulator lid un! l it stops. If the burner opening is s! ll not fully exposed, see the
assembly instruc! ons for correct placement. If this does not help, contact the place of purchase
for the nearest service technician.
The fl ame is unstable, or unusually large, or it leans toward one side
Possible causes:
•
The fl ame is exposed to a draught.
•
The burner is leaning on its foot.
•
The wrong type of fuel is being used.
•
Soot or residue par! cles have fallen down into the combus! on system during opera! on.
Measures:
•
An unusual fl ame can result if the fl ame is exposed to strong draught. This applies especially to
draughts from the side of the burner. Try fi rst to locate the source of the draught (open window,
fan etc.) and stop it. If this is not possible, the burner must be moved – see
Sec! on 3.1 for
instruc! ons about installa! on.
•
The burner’s proper! es can be aff ected nega! vely if the burner is leaning. Therefore, check this
with a liquid level. If the burner is leaning, it must be posi! oned again.
•

•
Turn off the burner, remove any residue par! cles from the burner and its matrix, and cean the
upper part of the stove and the smoke passages from soot, so that residue par! cles do not fall
down into the combus! on system during opera! on.
The fl ames are sooty – a strange smell is emi# ed
Possible causes:
•
A foreign object is present in the burner opening or near the fl ames.
•
The burner is in a room with a strong draught or defi cient ven! la! on.
•
The wrong type of fuel is being used.
