Server Components
19.1
Overview
Each aXsGUARD Identifier in your setup needs to be licensed to be operational. To verify whether a valid license is
present, a server component needs to be registered for the aXsGUARD Identifier to which its license can be
assigned.
Server components are registered in, managed and viewed through the Administration Web Interface System tab
(see section
). You can add or remove aXsGUARD Identifier server components and view detailed license
information.

Automatic Server Component Creation
19.2.1
Registration Process
During the registration process in the aXsGUARD Identifier Configuration Tool (see section
, a server component
record including a valid license is automatically created. Whenever the IP address is changed in the Configuration
Tool, a new registration is mandatory, and a new server component is automatically created including a valid
license for the new IP address.
Caution:
Do not modify the policy assigned to the server record as this may cause problems during
installation of IIS modules in your setup (see section
Modules). This setting should only be modified by VASCO experts.
Tip:
The old server component is not erased automatically allowing re-use of the old IP address without
the need to re-register, since the license is still stored in the record.
19.2.2
Replication
A component record is created for each aXsGUARD Identifier in a replication setup. This is automatically configured
through the Replication Wizard. More information on replication is available in section
