Installing the TSHARC™ Driver (Cont’d)
Touch Sound
A sound may be added to give the user additional touch feedback. A beep will be
produced when the user touches the touch screen.
Touch Offset
The offset option may be used for a variety of user-defined reasons. We recommend that
you do not use this feature unless it is specifically required for you application. Future
TSHARC drivers may not include this feature. Please contact Hampshire Company if you
have an application that requires this feature.
Task Bar Pull-up
This feature allows you to hide and display the task bar
in various Microsoft operating systems. You must enable
“Hide Task Bar” function in the task bar properties for
this to function. 1) Enable the task bar 2) Identify where
the task bar is located (usually at the bottom of your
display) 3) Define the distance from the edge that you
would like the task bar to be displayed.
Touch Modes
You may change the way that your TSHARC controller reports a touch.
Normal
Same as a standard mouse, the touch point is defined by a touch down and then a touch
up is sent when you release the touch point.
Touch-Down
A complete touch function is sent as the touch
screen is touched. You may not drag or write in this
mode.
Touch-Up
A complete touch function is sent when the touch
screen is released from a touch. Double click and
right mouse button functions are not possible when
the touch mode is set to touch-up. This feature is
useful when a user rests an activator on the screen
in order to help identify the desired touch point.
