Ballast Assembly Replacement
Vari-Lite Part No: 69.9679.1216
To remove and replace ballast assembly:
Step 1. Using console or internal menus, run lens as far to the rear as possible.
Step 2. Remove power from luminaire.
WARNING: You must remove all power from luminaire before performing maintenance. Fixture
may be very HOT after operation. Allow it to cool completely before performing any maintenance.
Step 3. At each top enclosure cover, remove two 6-32 x 1/4" PPB screws and remove cover.
Step 4. In each corner from top, remove four 6-32 x 3/8" PPZ screws.
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage lens during next step.
Step 5. Carefully lay luminaire on its side, ensuring that lens does not come into contact with any
surface.
Step 6. At bottom of enclosure, remove four 1/4-20 x 1-5/8" socket screws and 1/4" split lock
washers and remove ventilation cover.

Step 7. Remove both handles by removing two 10-32 x 3/4" PPB screws at each.
Step 8. At enclosure bottom, remove four 6-32 x 1/4" PPB screws and both side covers.
