REVO E Evacuation and Charging Instructions
Charging the refrigerant cycle
17
Operating conditions for ascertaining the fill level:
– Temperature inside the vehicle and outside approx. 22°C or warmer
– In units without partial load control, cover the condenser with a
cardboard or disconnect a fan so that a high-pressure of at least
10 bar is achieved.
4.2.
Charging procedure
Once the prescribed vacuum is achieved the refrigerant cycle should be
charged as quickly as possible with refrigerant.
– The magnetic valves in the refrigerant hose must be closed again
before the charging operation.
– The charge can be done either using a charging station or manually
using a digital manifold:
Charging station:
– According to the charging station used the prescribed amount of ref-
rigerant must be entered.
Master unit = 4.5 kg
Articulated (Slave ) = 7 Kg.
Manually the digital manifold is used.
– Fluid R 134a may only be filled in over the pressure line in the com-
pressor.
– The unit is to be charged as master version with 4.5 kg and as articu-
lated version with 7 kg of refrigerant.
Attention:
The REVO E air-conditioning unit must not be overfilled.
If the unit is overfilled the high pressure and subcooling will increase
rapidly, which results immediately in a high-pressure shut-off triggered
by the control system.
On completing the charging procedure dismantle the manifold and sc-
rew fix the protective cap on the valve connections.
