Problem Possible Cause Solution
Water leaks from
the soleplate.
• The tank has been
overfilled.
• The steam burst button
was pressed before the iron
had reached the correct
temperature.
• The automatic cleaning
mode was inadvertently
activated. The automatic
cleaning icon is flashing.
• A chemical additive has
been added to the tank
(e.g. a descaling agent,
perfumed substances,
vinegar or starch).
• Do not exceed the MAX mark
indicated on the tank.
• Wait for the iron indicator light to
turn off before pressing the steam
burst button .
• Press the power button to
immediately stop the automatic
cleaning mode . Otherwise, hold
the iron over a sink for 2 minutes
and wait for the automatic cleaning
process to finish.
• Do not add anything to the water as
you could damage the unit. Fill the
tank with tap water (and nothing
else).
There is no
steam or a low
steam flow.
• The tank is empty or the
water level is too low.
• There is not enough steam
pressure because the
steam burst button was
pressed before the iron
had reached the correct
temperature.
• Unplug the unit and fill the water
tank up to the MAX mark.
• Wait for the iron indicator light to
turn off before pressing the steam
burst button .
Burn marks on
the fabric.
• The iron has been applied
to one area of the fabric for
too long.
• Avoid leaving the iron for too long
in one spot. Pass the iron more
quickly over the fabric.
• Use less pressure when ironing.
The soleplate is
scratched.
• The sole has at some point
come into contact with zips,
rivets, buttons or similar on
clothing.
• Avoid ironing such accessories or
hard objects, as they can scratch
the soleplate.
The iron is
leaving brown
stains on
clothing.
• Water was left in the tank
after use. Residual water
can stain clothing, in
addition to the soleplate.
• Limescale has
accumulated in the tank.
• Always empty the tank after use.
• Regularly use the automatic
cleaning mode to remove residue
and lime deposits that have
accumulated in the tank.
