Gas installation
The work described in this section must only be carried out
by a competent person.
5.1
Preparing for installation

gas system!
An incorrect gas installation can result in
leaks and an explosion.

During installation, the legal directives
and the local regulations for gas supply
companies must be observed.

Tension in the gas line can result in leaks or
an explosion.

Make sure there are no stresses in the
gas lines when it is installed.

Caution.
Risk of damage caused by incorrect gas
installation.
Excess test pressure or operating pressure
can cause damage to the gas valve.
>
When the entire gas installation is tested
for leaks, the maximum pressure at the
gas valve must not exceed 0.75 kPa
(75 mbar).

Risk of damage caused by contaminated
lines.
Foreign bodies such as welding remnants,
sealing residue or dirt in the supply lines
for gas can cause damage to the boiler.

Blow the gas line clean prior to installa-
tion.

Caution.
Risk of damage caused by using the
wrong gas type.
Using the wrong gas type can cause a fault
shutdown on the boiler. Furthermore, igni-
tion and combustion noise may occur in the
boiler.
>
Only use propane gas for propane-fired
boilers in accordance with BS 4250: Part
1 (1987).
