6. Servicing
To ensure the continued safe and effi-
cient operation of the boiler it is
recommended that it is checked and
serviced as necessary at regular
intervals. The frequency of servicing
will depend upon the particular instal-
lation conditions and usage, but in
general once per year should be ade-
quate. It is law that all servicing work
is carried out by a competent person
(Corgi registered).
IMPORTANT:
Before starting any maintenance
work:
•
Isolate the mains electricity supply
by disconnecting the plug at the
socket outlet (if there is an isolating
switch only remove the fuse from
the switch).
•
Turn OFF the gas supply at the gas
service valve fitted to the boiler.
•
Always test for gas soundness and
always carry out functional checks
after any service work and after
exchanging any gas carrying
component.
•
Always check earth continuity,
polarity and resistance to earth with
a multimeter after any service work
and after exchanging any elec-
trical component.
Note: The boiler is fitted with a
combustion analysis test point. A
suitable combustion analyser can be
connected to this point to establish
the combustion performance of the
boiler.
