Table 7.1 Settable diagnostic points (cont.)
7.1
Setting the maximum boiler flow temperature
The maximum boiler flow temperature for heating mode
can be set at diagnostic point
d.71
, and for cylinder
charging mode at
d.78
(see Table 9.2).
7.2
Setting pump overrun time
The overrun time of the boiler circulation pump can be
set at diagnostic point
d.1
. The overrun time for a cylin-
der charging pump directly connected to the boiler can
be set under Parameter
d.72
if necessary. However if
the cylinder charging pump is connected to a VRC 630
or VRS 620, the setting must be carried out there (see
Table 7.1).
7.3 Pump
operating
modes
7.3.1
"Overrun mode" ("Comfort Mode")
Activation is effected via diagnostic parameter
d.18
by
selecting the "
1
" setting.
The pump runs when
– the room temperature controller requests heat via
terminals 3-4-5
and
– the room temperature controller or the integral con-
troller specifies a setpoint for the flow temperature
greater than 30 °C via terminals 7-8-9 or greater than
20 °C via the eBUS
and
– the boiler is in winter mode (heating setpoint potenti-
ometer not at left hand end stop)
and
– the contact thermostat is closed
The pump is switched off when
– one of the above-noted conditions is no longer met
and
– the pump overrun time has elapsed.
The burner blocking time has no influence on the pump.
If one of the conditions ceases to apply during the run-
on time, it will elapse just the same.
7.3.2 "Intermittent" mode ("Eco mode")
As an alternative to the "pump running on" mode, there
exists the option of setting the mode to that of an "in-
termittent pump" (d.18 = "
3
"). This enables some saving
of electrical energy for the pump.
The pump is switched off after the end of burner opera-
tion and a 5 minute overrun and then, within 30 minutes
each time, switched on once for at least 5 minutes to
make full use of the energy from the heating water.
If the return temperature of the heating water is falling
quickly, the pump will run (within the 30 min) for longer
than the minimum time of five minutes.
The "Intermittent" mode can be interrupted at any time
from the start of burner operation and the pump will
run in normal heating mode.
7.4
Blocking time and heating partial load
The maximum burner anti-cycling time in heating mode
can be set at
d.2
, the heating partial load at
d.0
and the
cylinder charging minimum load at
d.77
(see Table 9.2).
7.5 Start-up
behaviour
When there is a heat requirement, the boiler goes to
Status "
S.2
" (pump pre-run) for approx. 15 seconds and
then the fan is started ("
S.3
").
After the pressure cartridge is switched in and the start
speed has been reached, the gas valve is opened and
the burner started (Status "
S.4
").
The boiler is now operated at minimum output for
30 - 60 seconds depending on the boiler temperature
and then set to the calculated target speed, depending
on the deviation from the target value.
7 Adapting the unit to the heating system
