Work step
Selected information/measures
6
Outdoor unit, indoor unit
►
Preparing work on the refrigerant circuit
►
Read all of the sections on working on the refrigerant circuit.
►
Comply with the specified test pressures, waiting periods and instructions.
Tools and units:
→
aroTHERM installation and maintenance instructions, from
section 5.1 onwards
7
Outdoor unit, indoor unit
►
Routing the refrigerant pipes
►
Ensure that there is sufficient vibration decoupling.
►
Use a bending wrench and flexible springs in order to prevent kinks in the
pipeline.
►
Keep the interior of the refrigerant pipes free from air humidity, dirt and
residue.
►
Use a pipe cutter to cut the pipe to length.
►
Always hold the pipe downwards during lengthening and deburring.
►
Do not blow into the pipe (air humidity).
8
Outdoor unit, indoor unit
►
Connecting the refrigerant pipes
The outdoor unit is pre-filled with R410A refrigerant.
►
Keep the isolation valves on the outdoor unit closed.
The indoor unit is filled with nitrogen.
►
When unscrewing the flare nut, check whether you can hear the nitrogen
escaping.
9
Outdoor unit
►
Checking the refrigerant circuit for tightness
►
Only carry out the leak-tightness test on the refrigerant pipes using dry nitro-
gen.
–
Test pressure: 2.5 MPa (25 bar)
–
Waiting period: 10 mins
►
Use a leak detection spray to check the connections.
