2.7 Moving the machine when not
hitched to a tractor
If it is necessary to move the machine when not
hitched to a tractor, it must be moved fully
assembled and in the position for lashing on a
transport vehicle! The machine must be
transported on a machine trailer, lorry flatbed or
another suitable transport vehicle.
During loading and unloading, the machine must
be rolled onto and off the transport vehicle using
a tractor.
It is advisable to have assistance from someone
giving directions when loading and unloading.

“1.3 Technical Data“ .
• Always make sure that you comply with applicable
national regulations concerning transport dimensions,
requirements for escort vehicles or similar.
2.7.1 Loading

1. Switch the machine to the transport position. See
“6.2.1 Switching to transport mode“
2. Reverse the machine lengthwise onto the trailer or
flatbed. If using a flatbed, a ramp, loading platform or
similar will be required. Exercise extreme care;
Check that no machine parts are damaged during
loading.
3. Lower the packer to the ground.
4. Adjust and secure the support stand so that the
machine rests on the support stand, the roller and the
transport wheels.
5. Use chocks or similar to prevent the machine’s
transport wheels and packer from rotating.

6. On machines with an additional outer section, secure
the outer sections using strapping or similar.
7. Unhitch the tractor from the machine.

8. Secure the machine using suitable lashing equipment
in accordance with applicable regulations. The
lashing equipment must be attached to the machine at
the locations indicated by the decals, see
“Figure 2.4
“ .
2.7.2 Unloading
1. Loosen all lashing equipment.
2. Hitch to the tractor and raise the machine to the
transport position. See “5.1 Hitching to the tractor“
and “6.2.1 Switching to transport mode“ .
3. Roll the machine off the transport vehicle. If using a
flatbed, for example, a ramp, loading platform or
similar will be required. Exercise extreme caution.
Check that no machine parts are damaged during
unloading.
