6. COMMISSIONING
Fir st, r ead the chapter 8, Com missioning and additional instr uctions in Vacon NXS/P User Manual.
6.1 Fiel dbus boar d par am et er s
The Vacon Pr ofibus boar d is commissioned with the contr ol keypad by giving values to appr opr iate
par ameter s in menu M7 (for locating the expander boar d menu see Vacon NXS/P User Manual, Chap-
ter 7).
Expander boar d m enu (M7)
The
Expander board menu makes it possibl e for the user 1) to see what expander boards ar e con-
nected to the contr ol boar d and 2) to r each and edit the par ameter s associated with the expander
board.
Enter the following menu level (G# ) with the
Menu button right. At this l evel, you can browse through
sl ots A to E with the Br owser buttons to see what expander boards are connected. On the lower most
line of the display you also see the number of par ameter gr oups associated with the boar d.
If you still pr ess the
Menu button r ight once you will reach the param eter group level where there ar e
two gr oups: Editable par ameter s and Monitor ed val ues. A fur ther pr ess on the Menu button r ight
takes you to either of these gr oups.
Profibus parameters
To commission the Pr ofibus boar d, enter the level G7.5.1.# fr om the Parameters group (G7.5.1). Give
desir ed val ues to al l Pr ofibus par ameter s (see Figur e 6- 1 and Tabl e 6- 1).
