With the
hygiene recommendation display
It is common nowadays to select programmes with temperatures below 60° C in order
to save energy. These achieve perfectly good results with lightly soiled everyday wash-
ing. However, washing almost exclusively with low temperatures will result in the forma-
tion of foul smelling coatings in the appliance. To prevent this a «hygiene recommenda-
tion» appears when it is recommended that one of the following steps be taken for hy-
giene reasons:
▸ With one of the next wash cycles carry out a wash with at least 60°C.
or:
▸ Unload the washing.
▸ Press the button 1×.
–
The «Appliance hygiene» programme starts.

At the end of the wash day
▸ Clean the detergent compartments.
▸ Pull the detergent dispenser drawer out as far as it will go in
order for it to dry.
▸ Remove any deposits or foreign objects from out of the door
seal.
▸ Leave the appliance door slightly ajar to allow the washing
drum and door seal to dry.
