Step 11a: Connecting a Flow Switch to the Pre-
Amp
If using a Pre-Amp, connect the red wire of the
flow switch to JP2-6 (+12), the white to JP2-7
(Flow), and the black to JP2-8 (ground).
Step 12: Setting the Dip Switches
The illustration shows the eight dip-switches.
They are located on the Input board labeled S5.
The switches are as follows:
Step 13: Connecting Printer to Modem Board
If you are using a printer with the System5,
connect the printer (DB-25 male connector) to
the modem board as shown in the following
chart.
NOTE: Set the red COM Select switch to the
left for Phone and to the right for PC-COM.
The black jack is for the telephone. If using
Modem/Printer Board, use the white RJ11-
MMJ jack on it for PC-CON and not the white
jack on the INPUT board.
Step 14: Replacing the Cover
Now it is time to put the cover back on the unit.
But before you do, give your wiring one last
check. Next put the moisture absorbent packet
back inside the unit. Finally, place the cover back
on the unit and tighten the four screws at the
corners to secure it in place.
