Questions
Answers
The treated area becomes red.
Is it normal?
Temporary redness of the skin under the electrodes is benign, normal and it is
explained by the localized increase of blood flow.
You may have removed the patch too quickly from the skin and this could be causing
redness as well. Try to remove the patch more gently next time.
If skin irritation persists and you experience itching or irritation, an allergy may be the
cause. Consult your doctor before using the device again.
Is it possible to apply the patch on
clothing?
No, the program will be blocked because the electrical circuit is not closed: the
clothes act as an insulating layer and prevent the circuit from closing.
The patch (with adhesive gel) must be in direct contact with the skin.
Can I remove the patch without
stopping it?
No, you have to turn off the patch first (press the "on/off" button), then after hearing 3
beep, remove the patch.
Can I use the patch to prevent the pain?
No. The patch does not prevent the pain.
Use it from first symptoms.
Can I practice sports while wearing the
patch?
You can walk and go about your daily activities while wearing the URGO
ELECTROTHERAPY PAINFUL PERIODS RECHARGEABLE PATCH. As for practicing sports,
as long as the patch remains firmly on your skin, it is not a problem, but if you sweat or
move a lot, the adherence will probably decrease and so decrease or delete the patch’s
efficiency.
Can I apply the patch on a caesarean
section scar?
You can apply the patch on a scar that is older than 6 months, if the scar is more recent
than 6 months, we advise you not to apply the patch.
Will I feel the effects of the patch
homogeneously even if I apply the patch
on a scar?
Not necessarily, small superficial nerve fibers may have been damaged and interfere
with sensations relating to the effects of the patch. Either way, don't place the patch on
scars that are less than 6 months old.
How long after delivery can I use the
patch?
You will be able to apply the patch after 8 weeks. But in the case of a cesarean scar less
than 6 months old, we advise you not to apply the patch.
During my periods, I often feel more
pain on one side than on the other, how
should I apply the patch in this case?
In this case, the patch should be applied as close as possible to the painful area.
However, even when placed in the center of the belly, the patch will continue to be
effective for painful menstruation.
After sticking the gels on the electrical
circuits, I can see small air bubbles. Is
that bad?
No, the presence of small air bubbles on the electrical circuit does not interfere with
the proper functioning of the patch. Make sure the gel is globally well sticked.
Can I use the mains charger of my mobile
phone?
Yes, if it is certified and delivers the current with the following output parameters:
5V and 0.3-2A (printed on the charger).
Can I use my mobile phone cable?
No, use the cable supplied in the package.
Can I use a fast charger?
No, because a fast charger is not compatible with the patch and may damage it.
The adhesive gels were slightly
damaged at the periphery (for example,
when removing the transparent film):
will the patch work less efficiently?
Even if the gels are slightly damaged at the periphery, the patch will work correctly
provided that the electrical circuits are well covered.
Can I use the patch if someone is
wearing an implanted electronic or
cardiac device?
Yes.
