Fan Control / Automatic Ventilation
For automatic control of the fan, press FAN until the AUTO symbol appears. In cooling, the
fan starts/stops with the cooling equipment. In heating, the fan is controlled by the heating equipment
and usually starts a few minutes after the heating equipment turns on.
For the fan to run continuously, press FAN until the ON symbol appears.
For the Automatic Ventilation feature - where the thermostat will turn the fan on periodically for better
ventilation, press FAN until the VENT symbol appears.
Note: When the fan is running, the FAN symbol will be animated.
HEAT/COOL/AUTO/OFF Mode
Press MODE to toggle between the modes. If the thermostat is in the OFF mode, both the heating and
cooling systems will be turned off, and all programs and settings will be disabled.
To control the heating system only, press MODE until the HEAT symbol appears.
To control the cooling system only, press MODE until the COOL symbol appears.
For automatic control with auto HEAT/COOL change-over, press MODE until the AUTO symbol appears.
When the AUTO mode is selected, the thermostat will automatically determine whether to turn on the
heating or cooling system depending on the seasonal ambient temperature.
When the heating or cooling systems are ON, the following symbols will be animated.
will animate when the heating system is running.
will animate when the cooling system is running.
