1.4 The OpeMax Lite hoist
The OpeMax Lite is a mobile floor hoist intended to
provide a passive transfer for people who live at home
and need care. The person in need of care can be
hoisted by means of a sling, which is attached to the
spreader bar. The user can be placed in a sitting or lying
position so that he or she can easily be moved from e.g.
a chair to a bed.
The OpeMax Lite is a robust, compact, lightweight
and manoeuvrable hoist intended for home care. The
operation of the hoist is very simple.
The hoist is available with a two point spreader bar or a
self-balancing cradle. The two point spreader bar is for
slings with loops, the self-balancing cradle is a four point
spreader bar for slings with clips. The legs of the hoist
are electrically adjustable in width for better positioning.
The OpeMax Lite can be used for the following
transfers :
• From and to chair, wheelchair.
• To and from the toilet.
• From and to shower-bath-toilet chair.
• To and from bed, stretcher.
• To and from the floor.
The OpeMax Lite is different to the OpeMax as it is more
compact. The OpeMax has a larger range and has more
options such as an electric spreader bar, weighing unit,
etc.
The expected lifespan of the OpeMax Lite, in normal use
and under normal circumstances, apart from slings,
spreader bar and batteries, is 10 years (100,000
transfers) when serviced according to the instructions.
