Points of attention
Handle the hoist with care and ensure a clean and tidy
working environment.
The OpeMax Lite is designed to hoist and move users in
combination with a suitable sling and as such may only
be used for this purpose. Any other use is not permitted.
Operation of the hoist is only permitted by persons
demonstrably qualified to do so.
It is not permitted to hoist anything else (e.g. a chair or
wheelchair) together with the user.
The OpeMax Lite is designed for persons weighing up to
and including
160 kg
, unless otherwise indicated on the
hoist.
When approaching and moving the hoist, always check
that the area where the transfer takes place is free of
obstacles. Also check under the bed or (wheelchair)
seat. The hoist must never get stuck or get stuck with
the legs or the mast.
The hoist must not be used on inclined surfaces with an
angle of inclination of more than 5 degrees.
Only use the OpeMax Lite with a sling supplied by
OpeMed. (Always contact OpeMed if you intend to use a
different type of sling).
Attaching the clips of a sling to the spreader bar of the
OpeMax Lite must be done carefully, if a clip is not
attached correctly, the user may fall out of the hoist and
cause serious injuries.
The hoist motor of the hoist is only intended for hoisting
the hoisting arm, and thus hoisting the user, and should
never be used as a support or as a handle. It is therefore
not permitted to pull or push the hoist motor.
The OpeMax Lite should be inspected periodically at
least once a year.
When hoisting, always check that there is sufficient
space above the hoist; the hoist must never get stuck at
the top.
When passing through a door frame, always
check that there is sufficient space above the
hoist arm.
Service and maintenance of the hoist is only permitted by
persons who are demonstrably qualified to do so.
Replacing spreader bars or other structural parts of
the hoist is only permitted by demonstrably
authorised persons.
The battery must always be charged in a well-
ventilated, dry room.
During a transfer, put the hoisting arm in a half-height
position.
If the hoist has been deformed due to improper use or
transport, it may no longer be used and must be
returned to the supplier.
Always report any defects to the hoist or to a sling(s) to
the supplier of the hoist.
Do not use a defective hoist or sling. If there is a red
'rejection' sticker on the hoist, the hoist may not be
used. If it is used, this is entirely at your own risk.
