5.1 Installing HDD 

5.1.1 

Installing single hard disk drive 

2 HDD can be installed for DVR. 

In case that 1 HDD is installed, HDD should be set to “MASTER” or “SINGLE” mode. 

In case that 2 HDD are installed, one HDD should be set to “MASTER” and the other 

to “SLAVE” mode.

  Prepare one or two HDD and Bracket. 

             

 

 

z

  Jumper setting can be different by manufacturer of HDD. 

z

  Please refer to the setting method which shows in the upper label of HDD. 

z

  Example in the above: if Jumper is placed on the 2

nd

 lot (from left), HDD is set to 

  “MASTER” Mode, and if Jumper is removed, HDD is set to “SLAVE”. 

z

  Right picture shows that HDD is set to CS ( Cable Select).
