Monitor Function
The integrated monitor speaker allows monitoring the signal of each zone.
The display shows the selected zone.
To change the zone to be monitored push the ZONE SELECT key consecutively until the
desired zone is being indicated.
To confirm the selection press ENTER or ESC if you wish to cancel the operation.
The MONITOR VOLUME control allows a volume adjustment of the integrated monitor
speaker. The output level is also indicated by the OUTPUT LEVEL LED bar.
Feeding one Music Source into all Channels
The BGM ALL key allows to feed one source into all zones simultaneously. Push the
BGM ALL key consecutively until the desired source will be indicated in the SOURCE
display of all zones.
To confirm the selection press ENTER or ESC if you wish to cancel the operation.
Set MIC Priority Function for all Zones Simultaneously
You can activate the MIC priority function for all zones simutaneously by pressing the
PAGE ALL key.
Priority Input
A audio signal can be routed with highest priority into all zones via the VOX controlled
EMER IN audio input. All other input signals will be muted.
The VOX threshold is fixed at 600mV.
The input sensitivity for this input is 775mV and the input impedance 10kohms.
You can adjust the volume of the input signal with the EMER INPUT control.
Alarm Signal Generator
Via the EMERGENCY CONTACTS control inputs an alarm signal can be routed into one
or more zones.
The volume can be adjusted with the TONE OUTPUT control.
To start the alarm signal the corresponding EMERGENCY CONTACTS dry contact has
to be switched to ground

The contact named 1 stands for zone 1, etc.
In case an alarm signal is triggered the SOURCE Display of the respective zone(s)shows
AL and the signal will be generated.
The ALERT and EVAC inputs have different alarm tones.
Use the ALERT input for an intermittend signal, while the EVAC input generates a siren
like tone.
If neither the ALERT nor the EVAC contact is switched to COMMON a wail is being
generated.
24V DC Operation
The UMM 8800 can be operated at 24V DC. The max current is 2A.
In 24V DC operation the power switch is w/o function.
