7. UWC 8801 Wall Panel
Connection
Before connecting the wall panel it is mandatory to switch the UMM 8800 off.
The transfer of the audio and control signals happens via RJ 45 cable.
Connect the RJ 45 connector of the wall unit with the REMOTE WALL CONTROL connector of the respective
zone at the UMM 8800.
To enable the remote control the ENABLE/DISABLE switch has to be in the ENABLE position.
If the length oft he connection cable exceeds 150m it can be necessary to use an additional 24V DC.
There is a screw terminal at the back side of the wall panel.
A power supply UPS 8800 for in wall use is optionally available. It’s small dimensions (50x50x24mm) allows it to
be integrated into a 55mm in wall box.
Operation
Via the UP/ DOWN keys you can select the input for the particular zone.
With the LEVEL control you can adjust the volume oft he selected source.
An operation of the UP/DOWN keys directly at the UMM 8800 is not possible if the wall panel is connected and
activated.
Information: The LEVEL control on the wall panel controls the BGM control at the UMM 8800.
