• The handset was picked up before the second ring.
• The call was placed through a switchboard.
• Call your local telephone company to verify your Caller ID service is current.
There may be a problem with your Caller ID service.
• Charge the battery pack for 10 hours (for Flip Handset) or 15-20 hours (for
Extra Handset).
• De- register the handset (see “De- register the Handset” on page 85) and
register the handset (see “Register the Handset” on page 13).
• De- register the handset (see "De- register the Handset" on page 85) and
register the handset (see "Register the Handset" on page 13).
• Make sure that you have registered all handsets.
• Make sure there are not two handsets already using the conference feature
(see "Conferencing" on page 46 for 3-way & 4-way combinations).
• Make sure that another handset or base is not in privacy mode.
• Make sure to place the handset(s) within the range of the base work.
• Make sure that Room Monitor is set to On.
• Make sure the base unit is plugged in.
• Make sure that the answering system is turned on.
• Make sure that the message record time is not set to Announce only
(see page 66).
• The incoming messages may be too long. Remind callers to leave a brief
message.
• The memory may be full. Delete some or all of the saved messages.
• Adjust the speaker volume on the base unit or handset.
• Make sure the call screen feature is set to on.
