Cleaning

                   

      ★  Turn  of f  the  power  switch  before      

              starting  any  cleaning  work  otherwise     

                                the  machine  may  operate  if  th e     

                                treadle  is  depressed  by  mistake,  whic h   

                                could  result  in  injury.

                        ※  W hen  using  a  c lutch  motor,  the  motor   

                              will  keep  turning  eve  afte r  the  power  is   

                              switch ed  off  as  a  result  of  the  motor's   

                              inertia.  Wait  unti l  the  motor  stops  fully   

                              before  starting  work

 

     

★  Be  sure  to  wear  protective  goggles     

              and 

gloves 

when 

handling 

the     

                                lubric ating  oil  nd  grease,  so  that  they   

                                do  not  ge t  into  your  eyes  or  onto     

                                your  skin,  otherwise  inflammation  can   

                                result.

                                Furthermore,  do  not  drink  the  oil  or     

                                eat 

the 

grease 

under 

any     

                                circumstances,  as  they  can  cause     

                                vomiting  and  diarrhoea.

                                Keep  the  oil   out  of  the  reach  of     

                                children.   

Maintenance  and  inspection

                   

    ★  Maintenanc e  and  inspection  of  th e     

            sewing  machine  should  only  be  carried   

                              out  by  a  qualified  technician.

    ★  Ask  your  Unicorn  dealer  or  a  q ua li f i e d   

          electrician  to  carry  out  any  maintenanc e   

                            and  inspec tion  of  the  electrical  system.

       

  ★ 

Turn  off

        disc onnect  the  power  cord  from  the  wall    

       

        outlet  at  the  following  times,  otherwise      

                            the  machine  may  operate  if   the  treadle    

                            is  de pressed  by  mistake,  which  could     

                            result  in  injury.

                         

When  c arrying  out  inspection,  adjustment   

                          and  maintenance.

                       

When  replacing  consumable  parts  suc h     

                          as  the  rotary  hook  and  knife.

                   ※  When  using  a  clutc h  motor,  the  motor

                                  operate  correctly  before  using  the     

                                  machine. 

        ★  Any  problems  in  operation  which     

                result 

from 

unauthorized     

                                  modifications  to  the  mach ine  will     

                                  not  be    cove red  by  the  warranty.
